Mick Schumacher (Haas F1 Team) finished the 2022 F1 Round 11 Australian Grand Prix qualifying in 8th place.
Mick Schumacher will advance to Q3 for the second time this season since the 6th round of the Spanish Grand Prix. The sprint will start with two F1 World Champions, Fernando Alonso and Lewis Hamilton, who were in trouble.
“I was pretty close to the Q3 cutoff and I was lucky because I mightn’t maximize the lap so much. Other than that, it wasn’t the cleanest session,” said Mick Schumacher.
“I tried to push to warm up the tires once more, but it wasn’t great. I’ve already used some of the tire’s potential and I’m sure I’ve shortened my lap times even more.”
“If I can maintain my position tomorrow, I will get points, and if I move forward, I will get more points, so I will do my best to aim for more points.”
