A woman from the city of Grand Rapids, Michigan, recently won a prize in the Michigan Lottery Powerball drawing. Lisa Jekel, 50, won $150,000 in the August 27 drawing and only matched four numbersas reported by Fox 17.

Jekel purchased the winning ticket at the D&W Quick Stop store at 6799 Cascade Road Southeast in Grand Rapids.

In the draw on August 27, his ticket matched all four white balls and the Powerball ball, earning him $50,000. However, thanks to the fact that he bought Power Play, he multiplied the prize to $ 150 thousand dollars.

A few days following the drawing, Jekel received a message on his cell phone telling him he had to claim a prize from one of his Powerball tickets. “I checked the winning numbers for that drawing on the Lottery app and mightn’t believe it when I realized he had won $150,000!” Jekel said.

Jekel says he plans to save the prize for his retirement. “Winning is a huge relief and will provide a good financial cushion for retirement,” said the lucky winner.
