The singer, who has just released a new album, returned to Twitter on his meeting with the legendary footballer who died on Thursday.
On Friday, Michel Polnareff, very active on the social network Twitter, commented on an article from 2016 in the daily l’Equipe referring to his rather unexpected meeting with King Pelé. “Exactly, he gave me his equipment and we had a wonderful time together,” he wrote.

In this interview given to the sports newspaper in 2016, Polnareff explained that he was “crazy regarding Pelé” with whom he was able to discuss at length at Régine in New York, at the time when the Brazilian genius had signed up with the legendary Cosmos team of big Apple: “I was surprised to discover how small (1.73 m), adorable and short-sighted he is!” He then asked Pelé how he managed to see the ball: “I can’t see the ball.
