He emphasized that interventions in the independence of the Judiciary undermine the Rule of Law in Greece, a fact confirmed by the evolution of the wiretapping and Tempi cases and also by the condemnation resolution of the European Parliament, which is a stumbling block for the government.
Referring to the reform of the criminal codes, Mr. Katrina he talked regarding experimentation, stressing that creating a feeling of fear is not consistent with the essence and the very idea of Justice.
Regarding the acceleration of Justice, Mr. Katrina he spoke of bold and flexible changes and modernization of the process associated with the Procedure, which is governed by an outdated framework that needs to be changed.
In order to be issued quickly, the decisions must have a clear and brief reasoning, while in the direction of speeding up the administration of justice, the increase in the number of people admitted to the School of Judges can work, as well as the creation of an indisputable and reliable model of out-of-court dispute resolution.
