Michaël Miraglia presents a portrait of Michel Daerden, who disappeared ten years ago: “Behind appearances, there was a man who suffered”

The host presents a documentary on the former mayor of Ans, entitled Once upon a time dad…broadcast this Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. on RTL TVI.

Why did you choose to pay tribute to Michel Daerden rather than to another politician?

Would I, as a television viewer, want to watch the portrait of a politician on a weeknight? Yes, but maybe in another context, in a political program, presented by a political journalist. Here, we are not in this kind of program. Even if it’s not quite entertainment either… Television is never an exact science but, in my opinion, it’s not a crazy bet to put on a program like this at 8:30 p.m. on a Tuesday evening . Watching this documentary is offering yourself a suspended moment, a dive into our memories, being nostalgic for the television of yesteryear.”
