Michael (Mickey) Rohan, a cherished figure in the Racecourse Lawn neighborhood of Tralee and a former resident of Stradbally, Castlegregory, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, surrounded by the compassionate care of the nurses and staff at Tralee Community Hospital.
Mickey’s life was a testament to love, family, and community. Predeceased by his parents,brothers,and sisters,he leaves behind a legacy that will forever resonate with those who knew him. His devoted wife, Bernie, stood by his side through decades of shared memories and unwavering companionship. Mickey was a loving father to Yvonne,Tommy,Rena (Moriarty),Michael,Mary,and Jacinta (Dineen),and a cherished father-in-law to Jean,Pat,Gabriel,and Peadar. His grandchildren—Megan,Shane,Daire,Andrew,Cameron,Michael,Rory,Peter,Alison,and Caoimhe—will carry his memory in their hearts. Mickey’s passing is also deeply felt by his nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbors, and countless friends.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at the Rose Chapel in Hogan’s Funeral Home, located on North Circular Road, Tralee (V92 FX76), on Wednesday, January 22, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The funeral procession will arrive at St. John’s Church, Tralee, on Thursday, January 23, at 9:30 AM, followed by a Requiem Mass at 10:00 AM. For those unable to attend in person, the Mass will be live-streamed at www.stjohns.ie. Burial will take place afterward at New Rath cemetery, Tralee.
