Michael Jackson biopic

Following the successful films regarding Elton John, Freddie Mercury or most recently Elvis Presley, the life and career of the King of Pop Michael Jackson will be told on the big screen in the near future.

According to The Hollywood Reporter recently, Lionsgate and director Antoine Fuqua will release a biopic called “Michael” with the story of Michael Jackson’s life and career. The work will be produced by Graham King with John Branca, John McClain – who are co-managing the male artist’s legacy. In particular, Graham King is the man behind the success of “Bohemian Rhapsody” (2018) regarding the band Queen and Freddie Mercury, and also won an Oscar for the film “The Departed” (2006).

John Logan – who takes on the role of writing the script for “Michael” promises to give the audience a profound and never-before-seen depiction of Michael Jackson. The film will explore all aspects of his life, including the iconic performances that made him the greatest artist of all time. Currently, there is no official information surrounding the casting or the expected release date. However, Variety reports that the work will be shot right this year.

The audience is paying a lot of attention to the name that will take on the role of the king of Pop in the biopic “Michael”.

Sharing regarding the director’s chair for a new project regarding a musical legend, an icon in popular culture, Antoine Fuqua said: “The first products in my career were music videos, I still feel that combining film and music is a deep part of who I am. For me, there is no artist with the power, charisma and absolute musical genius that Michael Jackson… His music and those images are part of my worldview, the opportunity to telling his story on screen along with his music is irresistible.”

Michael Jackson began to show his talent and became known to the public as a member of the family group The Jackson 5. In a career that spanned almost a lifetime, the King of Pop had 13 singles. once reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 as a solo and four No.1 songs with The Jackson 5. His 1982 solo album “Thriller” is one of the best-selling albums of all time. and spent 37 weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 chart.
