It is with profound sadness that we remember Michael Finnerty,a cherished resident of Corr,Cavan,who peacefully passed away on Friday,January 31st,surrounded by his loving family. Michael received compassionate care from the Oncology unit of Cavan General Hospital in his final days.

Predeceased by his father, John, Michael leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. His mother, Helen, stepfather, Sean Clarke, brother, Barry, aunts, niece, nephew, neighbors, relatives, and a wide circle of friends mourn his loss.

A private reposing will be held for the immediate family. family and friends are invited to gather at the Church of the Immaculate Conception Coronea on Sunday at 1:00 pm for a Requiem Mass to pay their respects. Following the Mass, Michael will be laid to rest at Lakelands Crematorium in Dublin Road, Cavan.An online platform has been created for those who wish to express their condolences but are unable to attend the funeral. What are some of yoru fondest memories of Michael?

“I’ll always cherish our conversations over cups of tea in his garden. He was a passionate gardener, and his garden was his pride and joy. He loved to nurture his plants and share the fruits of his labor with everyone. He even taught me a thing or two about growing prize-winning tomatoes!”

How did Michael’s passion for gardening reflect his personality?

“I think his garden was a reflection of his gentle and nurturing spirit. He treated everything with such care and love, just like he treated the people in his life. It wasn’t just about growing beautiful flowers or vegetables; it was about creating a space of beauty and tranquility for himself and others to enjoy.

Michael was deeply loved by his family. How would you describe his relationship with them?

“Michael’s family was everything to him. He adored his mother, Helen, and his stepfather, Sean. His bond with his brother, Barry, was unbreakable. The love and support they shared was truly inspirational.it was obvious how much he cherished them,and they him in return.
