a decade ago, Michael Cera and Aubrey Plaza almost made them into a big show joke by deciding to get married.
Cera in his interview with Rolling Stone said he and Aubrey had been driving in Las Vegas and almost got married and got a marriage certificate.
“I think the idea was to divorce immediately followingwards so we might call each other ex-husband and ex-wife. At that time we were still in our 20s,” he explained.
Several celebrities did what they wanted to do, say Britney Spears and Jason Alexander, who were only married for 55 hours because following that the pop diva’s management team canceled the wedding in 2004.
Aubrey Plaza and Michael Cera had an affair following getting involved in a love affair in Scott Pilgrim vs The World. Unfortunately their love story only lasted for a year and a half.
In 2016, Aubrey also said that he was still close to Michael Cera even though he had broken up for a long time.
“He (Michael Cera) is very special. I mean, we both love each other. We are still good friends. He is a strange funny person and we are the same. He is one of the funniest people I know,” he explained in a podcast show .
Michael Cera also gave praise to his ex-girlfriend. He mentioned that the star of The White Lotus is a person who is committed to everything and it is not surprising that he is currently experiencing success.
“It wouldn’t be strange for me if he became what he is today. What surprised me was how much he produced. It was really amazing. The film Ingrid Goes West (2017) was really cool,” he said.
But now both of them have their own partners. Michael Cera married Nadine Cera in 2017, while Aubrey Plaza married writer and director Jeff Baena in 2021.
