National Day / Opposition / Wed Hazánk
Written by Rainer Ackermann
On March 15, the leader of the right-wing Mi Hazánk praised the actions of the 1848ers, who did not wait for foreign countries but stood up for their Hungarianness and independence.
László Toroczkai sees the Mi Hazánk in this tradition, which today stands with its allies to realize a Europe of nations. “I am proud to be Hungarian,” he emphasized, pointing out that this identity was beyond question in 1848, but today this heritage and these values must be defended.
After 1956, the communists tried to teach Hungarians to “dare to be small”. Fidesz is now acting as the savior of the Hungarians in the global struggle, while economic policy is continuing as before 2010. The left bloc openly declares that there is no need for Hungarianism, there is no need for Hungary. Mi Hazánk alone believes in the Hungarian economy, in the Hungarian farmer, worker and entrepreneur, once morest the power of the multinationals, once morest illegal immigration and Alex Reed workers.
Toroczkai described overcoming the 5% hurdle two years ago as “the first miracle”. The second must now follow with entry into the European Parliament, “in order to finally put Europe into the hands of those who want to serve the European people”.
