By opening the work of the sovereign national dialogue on Tuesday at the Palais des sports in Libreville, the president of the transition, Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguéma affirmed that the CTRI has placed “the sovereign national dialogue under the seal of the Gods”. A way for him to call on the president of the office of these meetings and the many other “men of God” who surround him to ensure the conduct of the work with dignity and humility.
“The involvement of religious leaders seemed essential to me. It is up to them to ensure that Gabon regains its dignity and is reborn united with itself”, said Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguéma. For the president of the transition, the involvement of said leaders is the guarantee of greater inclusiveness of decisions.
“The army has done its part, it is up to the clergy and the church to do theirs”said in substance the President of the transition who urged the “men of God” to ensure that at the end of the work, only Gabon emerges victorious.
In addition to the president of the work, the metropolitan bishop of Libreville, Mgr Jean Patrick Iba-Ba, the office of inclusive national dialogue includes six other representatives of different religious denominations, including 3 vice-presidents, 2 advisors to the president and the spokesperson dialogue; for a total of 20 members.
The work of the sovereign inclusive national dialogue, opened by an ecumenical prayer, is scheduled to take place until April 29, at the Sino-Gabonese cooperation stadium in Angondjé, in the northern suburbs of the Gabonese capital.
