MFF quartet trains outside the team: “Not optimal”

Before the restart of the Allsvenskan, Malmö FF has received back a bunch of players who were on loan. But no one in the quartet of Mahamé Siby, Malik Abubakari, Joseph Ceesay and Moustafa Zeidan trains with the rest of the team.

Instead, P19 midfielders such as Zakaria Loukili (who debuted in the Allsvenskan) and Kenan Busuladzic get to train with the A squad. Head coach Henrik Rydström explains that it is an association decision to give space to young own products.

In the meantime, the already mentioned quartet can stay in their corner at the MFF training sessions.

– We have tried to ensure their physical status here in the first week, because that is why they have been completely separated in principle. They have been involved in some warm-ups, then we will surely be able to get them into more football practice. Then there is a balance, we are a lot of players and we simply have to make priorities sometimes for what will be best to win the next match, says Henrik Rydström and continues:

– It is not optimal, neither for them nor for me as a coach. I understand that it does not feel good for them, but we have had a continuous dialogue with them. Not me, but “Danne” (Daniel Andersson, sporting director) and Ola (Toivonen, assistant sporting director), with them and their agents – then we have spoken to them now. It’s a tough seat but they understand it. Things can change based on the squad, but above all it’s regarding finding a new loan or sale in their case.

One who was not seen at all at this week’s training is the right winger Patriot Sejdiu, last season on loan to NAC Breda. According to The evening paper the 24-year-old will stay in the Dutch second division for a further loan. This time it will be regarding Roda JC.

– He is on his way to another club. Then he didn’t even have to come here, says Rydström.

It is already clear that center back Derek Cornelius will miss at least two MFF matches, following Canada’s progress in the Copa América. Sergio Peña’s Peru already went out in the group stage, but the midfield star will not play once morest Halmstads BK on Sunday as he is off.

From before, it is clear that the injured trio of Anton Tinnerholm, Oscar Lewicki and Stefano Vecchia are over the match. Newly acquired Sead Haksabanovic’s MFF debut is delayed as he is not in match form.
