It is a small, quiet fishing village, minside the bay protected by the Tigani peninsula, in Mesa Mani, in the municipality of Oitylo and is located at a distance of 8 kilometers from Gerolimena.

The famous one-eyed pirate, Nikolas Sassaris – Maniatis who dominated the 18th century AD. in the archipelago and throughout the Mediterranean, he used Mezapus as his lair, while he was the fear and terror of the Turks.

In the Lilliputian fishing village, a point of reference are the beaches with caves in the rocks that anyone who wants to explore by swimming.

And the Tigani peninsula, however, is a particular challenge for hiking enthusiasts. Further down Mezapos, in Stavri, begins a passable dirt road to Agia Kyriaki, which is nothing more than a tower house. From there it takes 45 minutes to walk to the ruins of the 13th century Frankish castle.
