This occurred after the Senate held a raffle or insaculation on Saturday to select the vacancies in the Judiciary that will be elected in 2025.

Rodríguez commented that progress has been made in the implementation of the constitutional reform that establishes the election of judges through popular vote.

He recalled that on Saturday, after a seven-hour session, the Mexican Senate determined, through a raffle, that the first positions to be elected by popular vote are 464 magistrates and 386 federal courts.
