This Sunday the renewal of six governorships takes place: Aguascalientes, Durango, Hidalgo, Oaxaca, Tamaulipas and Quintana Roo. 11.7 million citizens will be able to vote this June 5.
The National Electoral Institute (INE) plans to install 21,074 voting booths, of which 5,740 will be in Oaxaca; 4,777 in Tamaulipas; 3,977 in Hidalgo; 2,545 in Durango; 2,297 in Quintana Roo and 1,738 in Aguascalientes.
How to locate your box
The voters of the six entities must enter the https://ubicatucasilla.ine.mx/ to locate the entity in which they reside and the section to which they belong, according to their voter identification card.
How to participate in the elections
To participate in the 2022 elections, citizens must go to their polls with their voter ID. At the voting centers, which will open at 8:00 in the morning and close at 6:00 p.m., they will receive a ballot to elect the candidate of their choice or annul their vote.
What is and how to report an electoral crime?
The Special Prosecutor for Electoral Crimes (Fepade) describes these acts as omissions that damage or endanger the proper development of the electoral function. Electoral crimes violate the characteristics of the vote, which must be universal, free, direct, personal, secret and non-transferable.
If before, during or following election day you detect any act that might represent an electoral crime, you can report it to the Fepade by these means:
-On the website http://www.fepade.gob.mx/, or in state areas, as in the case of Mexico City, the complaint is made through denunciadigital.cdmx.gob.mx
-By phone: 800 133 7233, with 24-hour service.
-In person: before any Public Ministry, which must then send the complaint to Fepade.
Can I vote with my expired INE in the 2022 elections?
Voter credentials are valid for 10 years and following that period, you must go to a Module of the National Electoral Institute (INE) to be able to renew it.
However, the National Electoral Institute (INE) approved that 4.6 million citizens who have a voting card valid as of January 1, will participate in the revocation process that was held on April 10 and in the six local fights at the door.
The credentials that expired on January 1 were 595,675. Once the elections are over, you must go to the module closest to your home to renew your credential with a photograph.
