Through his account on X, formerly Twitter, journalist Kevin Urdaneta indicated that so far nearly 30 thousand tickets have been sold for the match between Venezuela and Canada this Friday, July 5. He highlights that the stadium that will host La Vinotinto’s first match in the Quarterfinals, in Arlington, Texas, has a capacity for 80 thousand people.

Urdaneta also points out that it is estimated that the majority of these tickets were purchased by Mexican fans, who hoped that their team would qualify for the quarterfinals. However, following Mexico’s official elimination from the Copa América, a large part of these 30,000 tickets are now being resold.

Copa America 2024 Quarterfinals Tickets

It should be noted that there is no way to confirm that it was Mexican fans who bought the tickets that are being resold. However, Mexican fans were hoping that their team would be the one to qualify early for the Quarterfinals, instead of La Vinotinto.

The only thing that is really certain is that La Vinotinto was the team that qualified early, undefeated and with a perfect score for the Quarterfinals of the 2024 Copa América. This after its historic participation in the group stage of the tournament.
