The Mexican Women’s National Team won with a double from Lizbeth Jacqueline Ovalle once morest Argentina in the Women’s Soccer Semifinals of the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games, thus securing a medal following advancing to the Final.
It was around the 32nd minute that Ovalle defined following a defensive error by the Albiceleste following a shot by Diana Ordoñez that a defense initially prevented the goal on the white line at the Elías Figueroa Stadium in Valparaíso.
The second goal came around the 90th minute following a new defensive error on the right in which the ball fell to Ovalle to finish with a tremendous left foot shot.

México Femenil returns to a Final since the first time women’s soccer was established in the Pan American Games in 1999, when they faced the United States and lost 1-0 to win the silver medal.
