Mexican seminarian arrested with drugs at Paraguay airport

PARAGUAY.- Authorities of Paraguay they stopped This Tuesday at a mexican at the country’s main airport, the Silvio Pettirossifor carrying bottles of tequila y shampoo allegedly contaminated with amphetamines and methamphetamines, reported the National Anti-Drug Secretariat (Senad)

In a coordinated task between the Senad, the Public Ministry and the National Directorate of Tax Revenue (Dnit) arrested a man, 27 years old, in the Silvio Pettirossi Airport located in the city of Luque, Paraguay.

The Mexican citizen identified himself as deacon in training to become a priest and declared that he arrived in Asunción for tourist purposes.

The anti-drug agency also announced that it will investigate whether possible criminal cartels intend to establish new routes and markets for drug trafficking that pass through Paraguay.
