Mexican parliamentarians visited basic companies to establish productive links

Governor Ángel Marcano and the Venezuelan ambassador Francisco Arias Cárdenas were present.

Different basic companies were visited this weekend by the Mexico-Venezuela Parliamentary Friendship Group, who were accompanied by Ambassador Francisco Arias Cárdenas and the Governor of Bolívar State, Ángel Marcano.

One of them was Sidor, where they toured the different plants and learned first-hand regarding the production processes, informed the Government of Bolívar in a press release.

“These organizations are spokespersons, representatives, the premise is to present lines, proposals and ideas for the two national conglomerates. That is the content that this visit has had, a legislative content to strengthen relations between the two groups, with practice and knowledge”, explained Arias Cárdenas.

He assured that they are focused on the relationships that exist in the political, legislative and business spheres.

Production of iron, aluminum and steel

The ambassador said that following his conversation with President Nicolás Maduro, they came to Bolívar to tour the companies of the Venezuelan Corporation of Guayana (CVG).

“We wanted to know the production processes of each company, their presidents gave us a tour through an exhibition, of how the process is carried out. We evaluated the opportunities and established the ways of contributing so that our peoples win, through these potentialities and strengths”, he added.

Cárdenas was emphatic in his vision of promoting business between Mexico and Venezuela to strengthen both economies. He said that in many areas these economies are complementary and that is the most important thing. “Even if they were competitive, we would do it as brothers,” he said.

He highlighted the importance of the primary production of aluminum, its industrialization, and downstream, the production of iron and steel, which are essential for the development that is taking place in Mexico, in what has to do with the manufacture of elements for the oil industry.

Raquel Bonilla, secretary of the Energy Commission of the Mexican Chamber of Deputies, thanked the Venezuelan people for their welcome and the Government’s willingness to strengthen the bonds of friendship that have existed historically.

“We were with four of the five powers that govern Venezuela and it is clear to us that this nation is prepared for the changes that are blowing in Latin America. Mexico wants to continue changing with our Venezuelan brothers.”

Bonilla extended the invitation of the Mexican parliamentarians to the Group of Venezuela, to continue consolidating working groups and collaborations, which will mark actions to advance in both economies. “Mexico continues to strengthen ties, Mexico is with Venezuela,” he closed.

Also present at the visit were the first lady Yajaira Arocha de Marcano, and mayors of the Angostura del Orinoco and Caroní municipalities, Sergio Hernández and Tito Oviedo, as well as deputies of the National Assembly.
