“In the competitions leading up to these Olympic Games, yes, you were there supporting me, as was my coach Ivan Bautista, which shows that we know how to work as a team. Don’t start trying to manipulate things; everyone in the diving community knows how you operate..”

“You used an accreditation that you were not supposed to use, one that could have been utilized by a doctor, a physiatrist, a sports psychologist, or a nutritionist. This is the Olympic Games; extraordinary things happen here (…) It’s not just about bringing someone who claps really loudly. (…) I think that there are many Mexicans who would do it much better than you,” added Ivan Garcia.

“Your job should have been to sit in the stands, buy a ticket, and cheer from above (…) the truth hurts a lot, but what can I say, my comment was never intended to divide Mexico.
