Mexican cuisine within the world top 10
It was through Twitter, that the page Taste Atlas, released the World Cuisine Ranking for the month of June 2022 where the 50 best are listed and they have placed Mexico in the top 10, sharing the first places with countries such as Spain and Italy.
“The rating of each country is obtained by the average of the users of the 30 best dishes, beverages and food products from that country. The countries that are not on the list do not have enough qualified elements”, explains the portal.
It should be noted that Mexico is the only Latin American country that is among the first places, occupying the seventh, only below cuisines such as Romanian, French and Japanese.
The top 10 are made up of:

- Greece

- Rumania
- France
- Japan
- Mexico
- Croatia
- Portugal
- India
This new update of the ranking has brought a lot of controversy among the inhabitants of the different countries. Such is the case of Peruvians who strongly criticized the publication for placing their cuisine in 32nd place and that of United States at number 13.

“Peru and Argentina in 32 and 33 in gastro?”, “America in 13th place? They all voted wrong. Since the Tlayudas won, I don’t believe in anything”, “Peru and Argentina far below what they think, strange… very strange”, are some of the comments that Internet users made on social networks.
But not all countries are within this relationship since “they do not have enough qualified elements”, as indicated by the portal and now controversial food portal.
