The Mets reached an agreement on Tuesday with Venezuelan infielder Yolmer Sánchez and catcher Austin Allen, who signed minor league contracts with an invitation to the big team’s training sessions.
Sánchez, 31, is a veteran of eight seasons in the Majors, seven of which were with the White Sox, with whom he set a career high of 12 home runs in 2017.
For his part, Allen, 30, has played parts of four years with the Padres and the A’s.
Both will be competing for spots on the Mets’ big team during the preseason.
