(CNN) By the 25th, the Mexican navy had seized 8,640 kg of methamphetamine. These drugs in liquid form were hidden in 11,520 tequila bottles.

The Navy has seized and destroyed nearly 114 tons of methamphetamine so far this year, the statement said.

Methamphetamine is a highly addictive stimulant, usually powdered or crystallized but often transported dissolved in a solution. The aim is to make it difficult to be detected on the way, and it will crystallize once more when ingested.
