Dr. Mahmoud Shaheen, Director-General of the Prediction and Early Warning Center at the Meteorological Authority, said today was the peak of the temperature rise and it is expected to decrease slightly next week, but the reason for feeling the heat is the high humidity in the air.
The Director-General of the Prediction and Early Warning Center at the Meteorological Authority added, during a telephone interview to the “Life Today” program on Al-Hayat channel, that we advise citizens following exposure to the sun’s rays for long periods, as well as drinking large quantities of water, sitting in an open place and staying away from closed places and the peak of the high wave in Temperatures were today and tomorrow citizens will feel a gradual decrease in temperatures.
The Director General of the Prediction and Early Warning Center at the Meteorological Authority continued, “We are witnessing a continuous rise in the humidity until the end of the summer, pointing out that the high humidity gives citizens a sense that the weather is muffled.”
