In Baden-Württemberg, strong local thunderstorms are expected, especially in the southern mountains. This may also lead to heavy rain in some places. In isolated cases, up to 60 litres of rain per square metre can be expected within an hour, the German Weather Service (DWD) reported. During the course of Monday, the thunderstorms will spread across the entire state. Showers and thunderstorms are to be expected on the following days.
Otherwise, it will remain hot in the southwest. The DWD meteorologists expected maximum temperatures of 26 degrees in Breisgau on Sunday and up to 34 degrees on the northern Upper Rhine. The 30-degree mark will also be broken on Monday and Tuesday, according to the information.
