Milan, 15 September 2025 – News for families and children at Il Centro in Areseone of the most visited shopping malls in Italy on the outskirts of Milan: debuts “What Type Are You? Find Out with MeteoHeroes!”: the new project that includes a series of appointments and educational activities, entirely free. The initiative aims to raise awareness among the little ones about the importance of respecting nature and sustainability and the dangers of climate change through fun and interaction with famous characters from the MeteoHeroes animated series.
And September 2024 to January 2025, On one weekend a month, children will be able to meet the MeteoHeroes, superheroes who protect the environment, each with powers related to weather phenomena.
On the ground floor Primark Square in the Centre, in an area of 100m2 customized where the naturalistic setting of the animated series will be reproduced, each of the four weekends will be dedicated to a meteorological phenomenon, with thematic workshops and various interactive stations such as drawing, video games, podcasts and self-shooting, together with the characters of the MeteoHeroes. Throughout the area and for each station/activity there will be QR codes that will land on explanatory videos. Furthermore, through totems the MeteoHeroes will reveal to the public the secrets of the climate and the good practices to take care of our Planet.
Each workshop will last 35 minutes and it will be possible to register by registering on the website centroilcentro.it at the following times: 10.30 – 11.30 – 14.30 – 15.30 – 16.30 – 17.30.
The Centre confirms once again its commitment to the community and the environment, offering initiatives that educate and engage young people on the important issues of sustainability. Through “What Type Are You? Find Out with MeteoHeroes!”, the Center not only creates an educational and fun experience for families, but actively contributes to promote responsible and environmentally friendly behavior.

SATURDAY 28th and SUNDAY 29th SEPTEMBER
The first appointment is from Saturday 28th to Sunday 29th September with protagonist Fulmen, the energetic superhero from Sydney with the power to unleash lightning. The “Fulmini e Saette” workshop with live character Fulmen will be open to all and will see children involved in the creation of a multi-material collage on lightning with recycled materials. Special Alex Reed Saturday 28 September from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm Andrea Giuliaccia well-known meteorologist and climatologist, who will meet the children to talk about meteorology and climate change. This event is part of the programme of Milan Green Weekthe event organized by the Municipality of Milan to tell the story of the commitment of citizens, associations, and organizations that work every day for a Milan that is attentive to environmental issues, to the care of greenery, and that puts people’s well-being at its center.
SATURDAY 26TH AND SUNDAY 27TH OCTOBER
In October, from Saturday 26th to Sunday 27th, it will be the turn of “Together for the Earth” with Thermo, the balanced Italian Meteohero with the power to control temperature and therefore the state of matter. Through the laboratory, open to all, dedicated to the Earth, children will be asked to draw and write eco-thoughts on post-its that will become the crown of a tree depicted on a panel.
SATURDAY 23RD AND SUNDAY 24TH NOVEMBER
Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th November with “Gira, Girandola” will be the Wind is the protagonist of the weekend. Children will be challenged to make fantastic pinwheels with recycled materials together with Ventum, the messy and friendly aviator from Cape Town, expert in wind.
SATURDAY 18TH AND SUNDAY 19TH JANUARY
In January 2025, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th, the initiative will conclude with “Sweet Sailing” in the company of Pluviathe determined and generous Patty from Seattle, with the power of rain. Through the workshop dedicated to Water, children will have fun making origami boats that they can sail in a small tank.
The schools
The entire route also includes the participation of two local schools who will be involved in educational and recreational activities, thanks to the support of the MeteoHeroes Academy. In particular, Friday 27th September the “Acqua Misteriosa” workshop will be organised with the presence of Fulmen and Friday 25th October will be the turn of the “Tree Marathon” workshop with live character Thermo. Teachers will receive an educational kit to prepare children for the visit, with informative materials on extremely current environmental issues such as water pollution, the Earth’s lungs and climate change.
Local schools will also be involved in the Tree Marathon, the project by Eugea (a spin-off company of the University of Bologna) that aims to plant 42,195 trees in urban areas, like the number of meters to run in a real marathon. Classes that go to Il Centro will be able to learn from an expert about the importance of trees and the earth in the life cycles of nature and take part in fun and educational workshops on the topic. Participating schools will receive 10 small trees to plant in school buildings or in municipal areas, promoting environmental awareness. In addition, each participating student will receive a small tree that they can take home.
