I might start to suspect that as soon as Stormbringer.at [ich] comes to festivals, the weather god interprets this a little differently. So many showers in one day was not planned.
The guests bravely persevered and enthusiastically toasted the warriors on stage, sang and let the downpour (forced) endure them.
Entertainment was provided by the following bands:
CHAPTER ELEVEN with a penchant for small creepy crawlies and throaty growls.
OLD MOTHER HELL who are not that old but rocked like hell.
BLACKSLASH young blood with an old-school background and futuristic equipment.
VICTORIUS unleashing saber-rattling (very unconforming) ninjas on dinosaurs.
HAMMER KING who lived up to their name and the band’s suggestion that they drink a glass of water at every mention of “Hammer” or “King” would lead to a fairly quick outknocking of those present. I don’t think a test has been done yet.
WARKINGS who, contrary to current historiography, probably have access to timeslips.
IRON SAVIOR, who conquered my heart (*cough*) with a cover of “Breaking The Law”.
MYSTIC PROPHECY, who put in a little story time.
and last but not least the headliner of the evening – GRAVE DIGGER.
There was no digging, but there was a lot of freezing. It doesn’t matter at all, even sound problems were compensated for by the active support in front of the stage.
