There are only a couple of days left for the PlayStation Showcase, and as we told you yesterday in our guide to the upcoming events this summer, Xbox and PC users should be very attentive to what they present, since Sony has been practically two years without to hold an event of this magnitude, which looks promising… for the multiplatform titles that we will be able to see. Of course, there’s plenty of speculation regarding what we might see, but Konami is especially expected to be around with both Silent Hill and the rumored remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
The point is that many took it for granted that this remake would be exclusive to PlayStation, something that if confirmed would be another stick that joins the news of the Silent Hill 2 remake, however, at Insider Gaming, specialists in this matter of leaks, they assure that it will be totally multiplatform. That is to say, that Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Remake will arrive on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and Steam, although they do not specify if it will be released or will have some type of temporary exclusivity.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater is an open secret
As previously other voices like that of VGC pointed out a couple of years ago, this remake would be developed by Virtuos, so its existence is almost beyond doubt, only leaving the question of when it would be revealed. The moment seems to be this next PlayStation Showcase, with an announcement in the form of a teaser.
It’s good news, but it doesn’t deny the other “exclusivity” rumor going around the networks, the existence of a remake of the famous first installment, Metal Gear Solid: Tactical Espionage Action, this one, totally exclusive to PlayStation. We will have to see which of the two makes an appearance at the event, and incidentally, gives us good news to Xbox users.
