Two of the biggest surprises at Sony’s PlayStation showcase tonight were the announcement of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Remake and Bungie’s Marathon. One could imagine both of these being PlayStation exclusives as revealed at a Sony event, with Metal Gear being a classic PlayStation franchise and Sony-owned Bungie.
But it turns out that’s not the case as both titles were also confirmed shortly after the event was confirmed for Xbox, which means more gamers will be able to join the party (Marathon has also cross-play). Neither of these two games have a release date, and an educated guess would be that they might be quite a ways away.
