Meta has launched Meta Verified, a new service that allows accounts to be verified using the official government ID and obtaining the famous blue badge through a monthly subscription.
Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, affiliated with Meta, said that obtaining the new service contributes to providing additional protection to personal accounts, and also protects their owners from impersonation.
According to Zuckerberg, the new service provides direct access to customer support through the company’s communication sites, and increases security and reliability across the popular Meta platforms.
The founder of “Facebook” stated on his official account on the site that the cost of subscribing to the “Meta Verified” service is $ 11.99 per month on the website, or $ 14.99 per month through the “iOS” operating systems.
And “iOS” systems are the systems that operate the devices of the American “Apple” company.
According to the founder of “Facebook”, the service is scheduled to launch in Australia and New Zealand this week, to be launched successively in other countries.
Earlier, the American newspaper “The Wall Street Journal” reported that the “Meta” company that owns the social networking giant “Facebook” had given thousands of its employees low ratings, which might pave the way for a new layoff campaign that would be, if completed, the second in just 4 months.
And the American newspaper said that these low ratings may indicate that there is a massive layoff of Facebook employees soon, according to what it quoted from people familiar with the matter.
She explained that these ratings were awarded following recent reviews of staff performance.
She said that negative evaluations were shared by 10 percent of the company’s employees.
Last November, Mita announced the layoff of 11,000 of its employees, following press leaks indicated that the company was determined to dismiss thousands of them.
Zuckerberg’s decision came in light of the decline in the company’s profits in the post-Corona pandemic, whose repercussions hit major companies in the field of technology, including “Twitter”, and prompted them to abandon much of their workforce.
