From his company is just one part of this vision.

And according to the British newspaper, “Daily Mail”, users will not need to pair the glasses with an iPhone or Android phone to work, and Meta wants to launch several generations of augmented reality glasses, with the first model being launched in 2024, followed by a lighter and more advanced design for 2026. and a third edition in 2028.

Insiders who weren’t allowed to speak publicly told The Verge that the project was called Project Nazare, and Meta doesn’t yet have a working wearable prototype of its augmented reality goggles, but instead has a demo.

Despite that, and the fact that the avatars during Zuckerberg’s previous Meta presentation weren’t built on any working hardware or software, and the CEO reportedly wants to launch the glasses within two years, he’s finally betting on Metaverse, a futuristic idea for virtual environments. Where users can work, socialize and play, it will be the successor to the Internet.

Not only that, but AR glasses that resemble the high-tech fantasy mask worn by Geordi La Forge on the Star Trek TV show, are seen as a potential alarm bell for the smartphone market.

This is because the Meta Nazare glasses model will not need a smartphone connection, but will instead be connected wirelessly to a phone-shaped device that includes computing elements.
