Meta and its massive layoffs

According to the report, the source that leaked the documents indicates that approximately 6,000 employees will be laid off from Metastarting next week.

In November, the company already laid off 11,000 employees, and in March of this year, Meta again announced 10,000 job cuts. With 4,000 positions cut so far, there are still 6,000 employees on the list who will be asked to leave in May of this year.

Clegg expressed during the meeting that the third wave of layoffs will affect everyone in the business teams, including their own organizations. He acknowledged the anxiety and uncertainty surrounding the situation and praised the employees for showing resilience and professionalism.

“The third wave is going to happen next week. That affects everyone on the business teams, even in my organizations,” Clegg said.

“It is just a time of great anxiety and uncertainty. … I wish I could have some easy way to provide comfort or solace. it is uncertain. And in fact, it really increased my admiration for the way that everyone, despite the uncertainty, is showing such resilience and professionalism,” he added.
