U.S. internet company Meta has blocked multiple accounts on its messaging service WhatsApp due to suspected Iranian hackers attacking U.S. politicians. Meta said on Friday (local time) that the messages from the WhatsApp accounts were sent by a “threat actor” from Iran, said to be from the technology arm of Google, Yahoo or Microsoft.
