While some supermarkets have been opened under the Intermarché banner as of Monday, January 2, 2023, others will be in the coming days. It is possible that some franchisees will take a little longer to implement this change. This is the case in the province of Liège in particular.
“Out of 13 brands, four opened this Wednesday, January 4, 2023, under the new name. The idea was to go very quickly, not to drag on,” we specify on the Intermarché side. Beforehand, it was necessary to sell all the products of the Carrefour brand, to empty the shelves, with markdowns and promotions.
As a customer, you can therefore now discover your new, completely revamped store. “Carrefour products have been withdrawn and replaced by new Intermarché brand products. In the store, everything has been rebranded: new sign, new signage, new trolleys, new checkouts…”, explains Intermarché. The opportunity to recall where the new brands are located in Belgium, province by province.
Province of Liege
It should be noted that the brand change only concerns the stores of the Mestdagh group. The Carrefour Express as in Verviers or Spa remain under the Carrefour banner. Just like the Carrefour Markets in Eupen, Lontzen, Stavelot, Trois-Ponts or the Carrefour hypermarkets in Malmedy or Herstal.
