Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN)–The Argentine Lionel Messi, the star of the French team Paris Saint-Germain, arrived in Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday, where he will visit the Kingdom on an expedition as an ambassador for Saudi tourism.
And the Saudi Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al-Khatib, announced, via Twitter, that Messi had been chosen as an ambassador for Saudi tourism.
Al-Khatib wrote: “Today I welcome Lionel Messi and his friends to Saudi Arabia for a special vacation in which he will explore the treasures of the Red Sea, the Jeddah season and its ancient history.”
Al-Khatib said: “This is not his first visit to the Kingdom, and it will not be the last, and I am pleased to announce Messi as the ambassador of Saudi tourism.”
And the Saudi official published pictures of the Argentine star upon his arrival in the Kingdom.
