Messi becomes first player to score from group stage to final; Four of the six goals were penalties

Messi became the first player to score a goal in the group stage of the World Cup and later in the pre-quarter, quarter-final, semi-final and final matches. Predictions that Messi will be dangerous in this World Cup were heard from the beginning, but except for the defeat with Saudi, Messi is in brilliant form.
