In her interview to Independent Urdu, Shameen Khan said that when she was approached to do the role, she agreed because she wanted to do something different from conventional roles, even though the role was difficult in that it took 12 hours. Until I had to work wearing a body suit which was not easy at all.

“A girl who’s fat, she’s dancing, and the video goes viral, so the role was challenging, so it was fun.”

In the second season of ‘Oy Muti’, Shameen’s character was named Maria, whose father has passed away, her mother is a seamstress, while Shameen’s character is a fat girl who loves to dance. It does very well.

This role is completely different from the tradition of Pakistani drama. According to Shameen, he has received formal training in classical dance, he also has a passion for dancing, so this role was not something that could be left out.

Shameen also acted in the previous season of ‘Oy Moti’ and played the role of a girl who starts driving a taxi to support the family.
