Merriweather Symphony of Lights 2024-2025 à Maryland

The Symphony of Lights has been Howard County’s favorite holiday tradition for over 25 years. Located in the historic Merriweather Post Pavilion in downtown Columbia, the impressive light display consists of more than 300,000 lights. This spectacular show features larger-than-life animated and stationary vacation installations. The illuminated winding trail can be experienced as a drive-through from the comfort of your vehicle or as a fun ride on special nights with friends and family. The driving experience lasts approximately 20 minutes.

Programme Symphony of Lights de Merriweather

The Symphony of Lights Festival at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia attracts more than 100,000 visitors each winter. There is a laser light show and 3D holiday video in the Pavilion. Visitors can grab a hot cup of cocoa or holiday-themed snacks from one of the food trucks available on walking nights.

The festival kicks off with Howard County Executive Calvin Ball. Special activities at Merriweather Post Pavillion include photos with Santa, a holiday photo booth, face painting, and a meet and greet with Medieval Times.

A unique program and early fireworks are offered on New Year’s Eve, surrounded by twinkling lights. On the designated Night of Tails, dog lovers can enjoy dazzling lights in the company of their beloved pets. A portion of the proceeds benefits Howard County General Hospital and DCACC.

Special Events Tour

During the Merriweather Symphony of Lights, visitors can attend several walking events: Festive Families on December 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., where strollers, wagons and backpacks are welcome. During the designated Night of Tails on December 9 from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., dog lovers can enjoy the dazzling lights with their beloved pets. Lit At The Lights takes place on December 3, 10 and 12 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Tickets

Festive Families tickets are $15 per person, Tail Night—$12 per person, Lit At The Lights—$45 per sample ticket, $15 for the walking tour only, and Midnight AT 7—$15 per person, and $50 for the family pack of 4. General admission by car is $25 per vehicle.
