In a plenary session of the State Council for Planning and Coordination of Public Policies, Governor Jehyson Guzmán presented the Investment Plan for the Financial Year 2024.
In the facilities of the People’s Hall of the governorate, together with the mayors of the 23 municipalities of the entity, part of their government team, legislators and councilors, the activity took place.
Governor Jehyson Guzmán highlighted that this plan aims to recover and maintain the conditions of social stability of Merida society.
He reported that the priorities for 2024, in accordance with the requirements of the communities, are roads, water, housing, electrical service, walls, education, environment, health, primary production, agricultural production system, sports, culture, public transportation and tourism. .
He detailed that, of the 100% of the budget presented, the percentage distribution focuses on the following: housing 40.85%, agricultural roads 19.91%, health 10.34%, urban equipment 18.63% and infrastructure 10.27%. . He noted that, for the housing, health and agriculture sectors, investment is projected to increase compared to 2023.
Teamwork
Guzmán pointed out that, through teamwork at all levels of government, including popular power, all sources of financing are made the most of to execute public policies that satisfy the needs and respond to the population.
He emphasized that it contemplates guaranteeing the prominence of popular power to continue carrying out an inclusive management in which sovereignty resides in the people.
The president expressed that they are halfway through the journey, and in this new stage they must continue to take into account the urgencies and needs of the people to prioritize investment and provide timely responses and solutions.
This 2024 they will seek to govern on the basis of an existing social reality, and the objective is to build solutions together to improve the quality of life of the people.
