In recent days, coinciding with the end of the school year, long queues have been observed to fill up with fuel in the state of Merida, surprising the authorities of the General Staff of Hydrocarbons, who through social networks, have assured that there are no reasons to fear a possible shortage of fuel in the state.

In Vigía and Mérida, the queues have increased during this Monday, July 22 and Tuesday, July 23, so Douglas Rivas, representative of the Government of Mérida before the General Staff of Hydrocarbons, denied the rumor of an alleged suspension of fuel service as of Wednesday, July 24, assuring that there is sufficient inventory throughout the entity.

In the case of the city of Mérida, the number of tankers with fuel that arrive to the city daily varies between 10 and 12 tankers, said Rivas, so they call on citizens to remain calm.

In recent weeks, queues have been increasing especially during the weekends, but this time they have increased significantly.
