“Heartless and without compassion.” With those words they describe in the San Francisco neighborhood the assassins who ended the life of Reyis Segundo Moscoso, 27, on the morning of this Friday, September 16.
Reyis suffered from paraplegia, that is, he might not walk and was forced to move around in a wheelchair. And it was there, in that chair where the hired killers shot him three times, at regarding 11 in the morning and in front of the Biblioparque, just a few meters from the sector known as El Wío.

A young man who accompanied Reyis was injured and is apparently in the ICU. Witnesses said that two subjects on a motorcycle arrived where the victims were and fired indiscriminately.
Later, several neighbors took them to the nearest CAP, from where they were referred to a more complex clinic. At 2 pm, the authorities reported that Moscoso might not bear the injuries and died at the Hospital Universitario del Caribe.
“I mightn’t see anything, I only heard the shots and when I looked out into the street I saw that several people were helping two boys. I don’t know if they were hit men or just one person, but what I do know is that the police arrived late,” said a neighborhood resident.
It should be noted that in San Francisco there had not been a gunshot attack since May 25, when Ómar González Correa, 35, was assassinated in the La Paz sector, between San Francisco and Daniel Lemaitre.
In September the hired assassins have ended the lives of four people. The first assassination occurred on the main avenue of the El Pozón neighborhood. The victim was Dagoberto Flórez. The second event occurred on 15th Street in Fredonia, where the assassins killed John Jairo Guardo Ortega.
The third homicide was in Las Lomas, but the identity of the victim has not been known by this means. The fourth hired assassin claimed the life of loan shark Álvaro Torres in Zaragocilla.
