Mercedes-Benz WeLife Festival: A Journey to Happiness, Well-being, and Sustainability

Do you want to follow the path of happiness, feel stronger physically and emotionally, and do your bit to take care of the planet? If the answer is affirmative, you cannot miss the Mercedes-Benz WeLife Festival. Vocento’s great well-being and sustainability event returns, for the third consecutive year, with all the answers to lead a healthy, positive and much more conscious life. the appointment will be the next 28 and 29 October at Green Patio, a sustainable space located at calle de Salamanca, 23 (Madrid). In addition to having the exceptional participation of numerous experts in food, well-being, mental health, mindfulness and the environment, those attending this meeting will also be able to practice yoga, meditation, dance, sound baths…

The agenda for these two days –which have Mercedes-Benz as a global partner due to its commitment to sustainability, since the luxury vehicle company is moving towards a 100% electric future– includes the participation of professionals as relevant as Mario Alonso Puigphysician, surgeon, lecturer and writer; Silvia Congost, psychologist, speaker and writer; Ona Carbonell, former professional swimmer and Olympic champion; Odile Rodriguez de la Fuente, biologist and environmental scientific disseminator; Jana Fernández, consultant and disseminator specializing in well-being and rest; Odile Fernández, family doctor; Albert Bosch, adventurer and promoter of sustainable leadership; Vienna Pharaon, marriage and family therapist; Inés Lipperheide, assistant physician at the ICU of the Puerta de Hierro University Hospital; Gustavo Diex, theoretical physicist, researcher in Cognitive Neuroscience and director of Nirakara Lab; Beatriz Larrea, functional holistic nutritionist; Juan Ramón Lucas, journalist and writer; Angel Durantez, expert in Medicine for Healthy Aging; Silvia Fernández, PhD in Psychology; o Fernando Ojeda, president and founder of the Reforest Project, forestry technician and activist.

All of them will offer presentations that will undoubtedly inspire us. But, in addition, the Mercedes-Benz WeLife Festival also offers the possibility of participating in practical sessions such as those offered by yoga and meditation teachers Ksenia Ryzhkova, Mercedes de la Rosa, Ana Carolina Martínez, Carlota Pérez, Carolina Drake, Daniel Osorio and Verónica Blume, among others.

Saturday October 28

The Room

The day on Saturday will begin in The Room at 10:15 in the morning with the intervention of Samary Fernández Feito, general director of the Luxury, Lifestyle and Magazines Area at Vocento, who will be in charge of welcoming all attendees. And then, Maria Fernandez-Mirandadirector of WeLife, will talk to us regarding the values ​​that guide this project of the Vocento group focused on well-being and sustainability.

After this brief introduction, at 10:30 a.m. the first presentation of the event will start, entitled Why sleep is as important as breathing, which will be given by Jana Fernández. With the specialist in well-being and rest, we will learn why we should rest and what we can do to sleep well without waking up all night.

The day will continue with the conference by Mario Alonso Puig at 11:10, entitled The path to a happier life. Alonso is one of the most acclaimed speakers in our country for his talks on leadership and motivation, and in this presentation he will be in charge of teaching the guests to deploy their human potential and be happier.

At the end of the presentation by the doctor and speaker, attendees will take a short break to regain strength and continue enjoying our well-being and sustainability congress. And following this break, at 12:45, María Fernández-Miranda will interview Odile Rodríguez de la Fuente in a talk entitled The lessons of love for nature that Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente left us. In this intervention we will all remember what we learned from the naturalist and environmental popularizer, from the hand of his own daughter.

At 1:30 p.m. it will be the turn of Odile Fernández and her presentation Food helped me overcome cancer. The family doctor and author of the book Habits that will save your life (ed. Planet) will give a talk to emphasize the importance of healthy eating and how it can improve our lives to the point of helping us in processes as delicate as serious illnesses.

With the intervention of Fernández we will reach the final stretch of the first round of presentations on Saturday. At 2:10 p.m., attendees will have another break, at which time they can eat to continue enjoying the followingnoon, which will resume its lectures at 4:00 p.m. with the intervention of Albert Bosch and his presentation entitled Leading to make things happen.

Next, at 4:40 p.m., Mercedes de la Rosa will interview Vienna Pharaon in an online talk entitled Break family patterns to find yourself. And later, at 5:30 p.m., attendees will be able to enjoy the presentation How to live without being afraid of death, by Inés Lipperheide.

And to finish the agenda for Saturday, at 18:10 Gustavo Diex will offer a talk entitled Anxiety and stress: tools to keep them at bay following which all attendees can go home with all the keys to reduce the symptoms of anxiety.

The Studio

The Studio room will host the most dynamic part of this congress. There classes will be taught where attendees can put into practice what they have learned regarding the connection between body and mind. Here, the day will begin at 9:00 in the morning with a mindfulness class, led by Professor Ksenia Ryzhkova; it will continue with a Vinyasa class, at 9:45, led by Mercedes de la Rosa; it will continue with a breathework session, at 11:00, directed by Andrea Klimowitz; and a fusion of Vinyasa and contemporary dance, given by Ana Carolina Martínez.

In the followingnoon shift at The Studio, participants will be able to sign up for a gratitude meditation session, which will begin at 3:30 p.m. and will be led by De la Rosa; a Nidra yoga class, at 4:15 p.m., taught by Martínez, a Jivamukti yoga class, at 5:15 p.m., with Carlota Pérez and, to finish, they will be able to enjoy a relaxation session with sound baths, led by Nain.

Sunday October 29

The Room

This well-being congress will continue on Sunday, at 10:30 a.m., with a presentation by Beatriz Larrea, entitled Fight inflammation through diet. The holistic nutritionist and author of the book Set your body on fire in 30 days (ed. The sphere of books) will explain to attendees what are the causes that make our system inflamed and what we can do to combat that inflammation.

Next, at 11:05, María Fernández-Miranda will interview the journalist Juan Ramón Lucas, who has published a book entitled Immunofitness: health is also trained, with whom she will talk regarding everything we must take into account to reconnect with nature and live better.

After this interview and a short break, at 12:20, it will be the turn of Silvia Congost and her presentation entitled Learn to escape from toxic relationships. The psychologist and author of the book Love or addiction? (ed. Planet) will help everyone present to know how to recognize red flags in relationships and will provide the necessary keys to know how to get out of them.

At 1:25 p.m., just before the second break of the day, Ángel Durántez will give us a talk regarding how to stay young following 50 And following his intervention, we will give way to the second part of this day with an interview by María Fernández-Miranda with Ona Carbonell, at 4:00 p.m., in a talk entitled How to learn to let go of the past to look to the future; and followingwards, Silvia Fernández, at 4:40 p.m., will offer a talk on cultivate compassion and strengthen our interior.

To end the day on Sunday and close an event as enriching as this, at 5:25 p.m., Fernando Ojeda will offer a talk on the Small gestures that change the world.

While the conferences on mental health, well-being and sustainability are being held, as well as on Saturday, attendees who wish can join the relaxation-focused classes that will be held at The Studio.

The activities will start at 9:00 in the morning with a guided meditation session by Carolina Drake. The morning will continue with a Kundalini yoga class, at 9:45, taught by Daniel Osorio; It will continue, at 11:00 a.m., with a session to dance, shout, feel with the body, let go and recharge batteries, led by Carla Forns; and a couples Acro yoga class with Susann Mayer. You can now get your tickets through welifefestival.es. The ticket price for both days is 80 euros. If you only want to attend the Mercedes-Benz WeLife Festival for one day, the price is 45 euros.

The yoga and meditation sessions are not included in the entrance to the festival and have an additional cost of 20 euros each. From the third class, you will get a 30% discount on your next purchase.
