Mercedes-Benz recalls 53,000 Sprinters for blowing air conditioner until it catches fire

Mercedes-Benz recalls 53,000 Sprinters because it is not allowed to blow the air conditioner until it catches fire

Mercedes-Benz has recently conducted another recall. This time the affected model is the Sprinter from 2017 to 2019. The reason for the recall is that the air conditioning system will overheat and cause a fire.

Mercedes-Benz has been conducting recalls from time to time, and recently announced a recall of 2019 and 2020 Sprinters produced between September 16, 2017 and February 3, 2020, affecting approximately 52,993 vehicles. The reason for the recall is that the Sprinter’s air conditioning blower circuit problem will cause the fuse and wiring harness to overheat, which may cause the vehicle to catch fire. In this regard, Mercedes-Benz has asked the owner to switch to manual operation of the air conditioning system, and do not change the air volume and heating temperature. Turn it to the maximum, and replace the fuse and wiring harness for the consumer at the same time. The overheating of the air conditioning circuit caused a fire problem, which has been resolved in models produced in February 2020.

The Sprinter was recalled because the air conditioner blower line could overheat the fuses and wiring harness, causing a fire.
