The Chinese brand Denza, originally created by BYD and Mercedes-Benz (the German side now owns 10% of the shares), has three different models in its range. And the fourth is coming. Officially, it was shown only in camouflaged form, but “clean” photographs and some characteristics have already appeared in the database of the Chinese certification agency.

The Denza Z9 GT electric car is not even a big one, but a huge five-door hatchback. In format, this is a kind of analogue of the Zeekr 001 or Porsche Taycan Sport Turismo models. However, the Denza Z9 GT is noticeably larger than both of them: length – 5180 mm, width – 1990 mm, height – 1500 mm. The wheelbase is 3125 mm versus 3000 mm for the Zikr and 2900 mm for the Taycan. But even more impressive is the declared curb weight (even by electric vehicle standards): 2875 kg! Although the Rolls-Royce Specter coupe is even larger (5453 mm in length) and heavier (2975 kg).

To carry such a “carcass”, an appropriate power plant is required. The Denza Z9 GT has three electric motors – one at the front (313 hp) and two at the rear (326 hp each). Their total power reaches 965 hp. The acceleration time to “hundreds” has not yet been made public, but the maximum speed has been announced – 240 km/h. All that is known regarding the traction battery so far is that it belongs to the latest Blade family from BYD. Range and charging characteristics will be announced later. Judging by the extraordinary mass of the electric vehicle, one can assume an equally outstanding battery capacity.

The full premiere of the Denza Z9 GT hatchback is scheduled for April 25 and will take place at the Beijing Motor Show. It is possible that these cars will appear in Europe, because BYD has already announced a plan to introduce the Denza brand to the local market.
