“Mental Health Promotion” organizes a training program for 50 beneficiaries in Jeddah

The National Center for Mental Health Promotion organized a training program on mental health concepts for workers in laboratories, blood banks and pre-marital examination, in the presence of more than 50 beneficiaries in Jeddah.

Specialist Fouad Al-Qarni explained that the training course enhances the concept of mental health among the trainees and provides them with the necessary skills to deal with, direct and contribute to mental disorders, in addition to correcting misconceptions and beliefs regarding them, highlighting their importance, and providing them with the necessary skills to detect cases early.

He added that the training program aims to learn regarding mental illnesses and ways to treat them, reduce the societal stigma towards the mentally ill, publicize their rights, and contribute significantly to alleviating common mental disorders.

It is noteworthy that the National Center for the Promotion of Mental Health has implemented more than 12 similar training programs, benefiting more than 700 trainees.
