On the 28th, the second stage of the 2022-2023 Chinese Men’s Volleyball Super League (Baoding Division) continued to compete for the quarter-finals in the Gymnasium of the West Campus of Hebei Agricultural University. Shandong Ruchen lost a game first and then chased three games in a row to reverse Baoding Woli and advance to the semi-finals.
The specific matches in the quarter-finals are: Zhejiang Sports Lottery vs. Sichuan Men’s Volleyball Team, Baoding Woli vs. Shandong Ruchen, Shanghai Guangming vs. Tianjin Food Group, Nanjing Radio and Television Maomao vs. Beijing Automobile. The game adopts a three-game two-win system. After the first two rounds of competition, Beijing Auto, Zhejiang Sports Lottery, and Shanghai Guangming advanced smoothly, while Shandong Ruchen and Baoding Woli won one game each.
In the third game of the decisive victory, both sides were a little nervous following the opening. Shandong’s first pass never opened up the situation, and the offensive efficiency was insufficient. Baoding seized the opportunity consecutively and won the first game 25:20. In the next two rounds, following the adjustment of Shandong’s first pass, the offensive end was not suitable for Baoding, and they overtook the score at 25:15 and 25:23.
The score was always stalemate in the fourth game. After Shandong led at 22:21, Baoding called a timeout, but following the timeout came back, Shandong scored 2 points in a row in the strong serve round and ushered in the match point at 24:21! Although Baoding struggled to recover 1 point by attacking at the net, Shandong made a fast break and won the fourth game 25:22.
In the end, the Shandong Men’s Volleyball Team won the third game 3:1 and advanced to the semi-finals with a total score of 2:1 in the three rounds.
In the semifinals, the Shanghai Men’s Volleyball Team will face the Zhejiang Men’s Volleyball Team, and the Shandong Men’s Volleyball Team will face the Beijing Men’s Volleyball Team.
