London- “Al-Quds Al-Arabi”: The Egyptian actress, Menna Shalaby, decided to postpone the presentation of her new play “Hour of Fortune”, which was scheduled to be shown in the Riyadh season in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to the next season.
A source revealed to “Laha” magazine that the main reason for postponing the play is Menna’s presence outside Egypt during the current period, specifically in Lebanon, to finish filming her new Ramadan series “Change Joe”, as most of the events take place in Beirut, which will make her busy during the next two months.
The source confirmed that the second reason for postponing the performance of the play was that the artist, Mohamed Shaheen, suffered a heart attack during preparation for it, which necessitated his entry into intensive care and heart surgery to install two stents, and that he needed a recovery period of not less than a month, away from any effort.
Sherif Salama and Sama Ibrahim will participate in the play “Hour of Fortune”, alongside Menna Shalaby and Mohamed Shaheen, and it was written and directed by Ashraf Zaki.
It is noteworthy that the Cairo Court of Appeal has set a session for next January 5, to start the trial of the artist, Menna Shalaby, before the North Cairo Criminal Court, in the case of accusing her of obtaining the substance of narcotic hashish with the intention of using it during her return from America.
