The National Police managed to capture two men accused of allegedly murdering their partners in the municipalities of Cisneros and Montebello, Antioquia.
These incidents were isolated and occurred on August 11 and 21, causing dismay in the communities.
In Cisneros, LM Agudelo, 55, was reportedly found dead in a hotel room.
Investigations quickly pointed to her ex-partner, who fled to the municipality of Andes after committing the crime.
There, he posed as a coffee picker to evade justice, but was eventually captured by the authorities. At the time of his arrest, he was still carrying the victim’s ID.
In an official statement, the Antioquia Police reported that the detainee not only killed his partner, but also subjected her to constant psychological and financial abuse during their relationship.

On the other hand, in Medellín, the alleged murderer of LN Holguín, 38 years old, was captured. Her body was found in a rural area of the municipality of Montebello.
Her partner was hiding in the capital of Antioquia trying to evade justice.
Antioquia Governor Andrés Julián Rendón welcomed the arrests and said that these results are proof of the authorities’ commitment to the fight against gender violence.
