Today, Monday, the official page of “Masrawy” on the social network “Facebook” published a live broadcast about the death of a citizen inside the mosque, under the title (He died waiting for Tahajjud .. What did the family of a memorizer of the Qur’an say, who died inside the mosque in Sohag?).
Jaber Abd al-Rahman Jaber, the brother of the deceased memorizer of the Noble Qur’an, whose soul overflowed while performing the two rak’ahs of greeting the mosque before the tahajjud prayer from the “Al Zayed” mosque in the district of al-Khalafiya village in Gerga, south of Sohag governorate, said that he met his deceased brother in the Great Mosque of Mecca about a week ago while they were performing Umrah, adding that His late brother kept praying to God after the Asr prayer, even before the Maghrib call to prayer, that his soul be taken on the Night of Decree.
He explained that he works in the State of Kuwait and came to the village yesterday, Sunday. Because of the death of his brother, pointing out that the deceased had memorized the Holy Qur’an and had Hafs’s Ijazah on behalf of Asim, and many of the villagers, old and young, memorized it on his hands.
While Ahmed Jaber, his nephew, who was always accompanying the deceased, said that thousands of people mourned yesterday afternoon the body of his late uncle to his final resting place in the family graves amid the crying and grief of many mourners, adding that his uncle’s funeral was solemn and the village had not witnessed it before.
The nephew of the deceased explained that his uncle’s body was washed with Zamzam water, especially since he was returning from Umrah about 6 days ago.
