Memories of the glorious past of the ND faction in Achaia were awakened, yesterday, on the first day of the photo exhibition organized by the Party Organization of Achaia on the occasion of the completion of 50 years since the founding of the party.

The exhibition is hosted at the Agora Argyri and yesterday it was visited by the paternal government representative Pavlos Marinakis, who was in the city for the presentation of the book by the director of the Maximos Press Office, Dimitris Tsiodras.

After the presentation of the book, Pavlos Marinakis, accompanied by the MP of Achaia Jason Fotila and the president of DEEP Achaia Antonis Kounavis, was at the Agora Argyri and was guided around the exhibition.

The vice president of the DEEP of Achaia and the man who edited the exhibition, Kostas Rigopoulos, acted as a tour guide, who gave detailed information regarding the exhibition and the periods it depicts.

The photo exhibition includes politicians of Achaia from events, party gatherings and MPs over 50 years old who have passed through ministerial positions and have contributed in various ways to the party.

Pavlos Marinakis was impressed by the exhibition and, among other things, said: “I did not expect that you had such material in Patras and everyone really deserves congratulations for the exhibition. There are photos of a historical nature for the party.”

The government representative also stood in a photo, where the ethnic leader Kostas Karamanlis was speaking from the balcony of the municipal theater “Apollo”, in Patras, in 1974 and it is one of the photos that adorn the party’s offices.
Afterwards, Pavlos Marinakis wrote his opinion on the exhibition in the impression book and then took a commemorative photo with all the party officials.

However, the deputy minister, despite the prime minister, refrained from making statements during his stay at the exhibition regarding current events.

Tsiodras: “POLITICAL DIVISION”

At the same time, the ND MEP candidate and director of Maximos’ Press Office, Dimitris Tsiodras, called the attack by the SYRIZA-PS MP, Elena Akrita once morest the Prime Minister’s wife, Marevas Mitsotakis, “totally political”, speaking yesterday morning to Peloponnisos fm 104.1, on the show of Dimitris Triantafyllopoulos.

Asked to comment on the issue, Mr. Tsiodras said, among other things: “We are returning to times that I think we have left behind, unfortunately”, pointing out at the same time that the opposition has “hooked” on the issue of Tempi, taking advantage of the pain of the victims’ relatives.
The exhibition continues daily at 10 am. – 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8.30 p.m. in the Silver Market, however, it is possible that next week it will be transferred to another place to be enriched.

* As was natural, there were strict security measures by the local ELAS during yesterday’s visit by Pavlos Marinakis.
